Ice cream date with Kyle wasn't long but it was long enough for me to learn from him. He's all for going after your dreams and I admire him so so much about it. He told me hw he has friends who work in jobs that they don't enjoy doing or live in cities that they don't like living in and they just end up wasting their lives away unless one day they realise that and say "hey, I want to do something about my life. I want to live it the way I want to." And it really made me feel like I should go after my dreams even if others don't approve of it. Because ultimately it is my life and I want to get something out of it. And never never never ever give up. Getting a "no" as a reply is never an excuse to stop trying or to give up hope. Kp told me how everytime he proposes something, there will be people who will say "no, we're not gonna do this," "no, this isn't possible," "no, you can't...", etc. But amongst all the "no"s there will be one "yes". You just got to keep trying and trying and never give up. Because when you give up, you're succumbing to the "no"s and accepting that your dreams will not come true. So keep trying and keep working hard. Whatever you do, there will be obstacles and hardships for you to face and the only way to achieve your dreams is through hard work. Work harder than you ever imagine but if you pull through you'll find out itd all be worthed it :) Another thing is that family support is really important and you don't wanna upset them in the process of chasing your dreams. But I believe that as long as your parents see that you're happy, they would ultimately be happy and support what you do :) Date with Kyle has been insightful and meaningful. I really hope he gets Go for Gold into 2012 olympics. He deserves this so so much. 1:57 AM
