HI GUYZXS I STUDIED CHEM TODAY WHOOHOOOO.
Today mr ravi said we should write in a diary no more blogging and typing and all that shit. :(
Hai wtv im still gonna blog anw. HEH.
Ok lemme tell you about natural veg k?? :D:D:D
Ok the tropical rainforests! They are located 10 degrees north and south of the equator. it has a tropical climate that is hot and wet with more than 1500mm/year! the temperature of the forest is >26 degree celcius! i seriously think its cooler in the forest than it is here. in fact it should be! cos yknow the trees transpire and all that so it makes the air nice and fresh and cool :) and the temperature range in the tropical rainforests are small so its never extreme! WOOOHOOOO~~~
the forest has 5 distinct layers! the emergent, canopy, under storey, shrubs layer and the undergrowth! trees in the emergent layer grows up to v v v tall(50m?!?!) They have tall and thin trucks so yknow, they can grow all the way up like giraffes! HAH.
the canopy layer's trees have wider and thicker trunks and branches that spread out. Hence their crowns are wide shallow and umbrella shaped :) Because of this, sunlight is unable to pass through to the layers below. Hai.
The understorey trees will then have to struggle to get sunlight. So to get whatever sunlight that managed to escape the crowns of the canopy, the crowns of the understorey are long, narrow and shaped like a oval. thus you usually find them in the gaps where sunlight can secretly penetrate through yknow in gaps that the canopy failed to cover. This is also where the saplings of the emergent/canopy trees grow! (this doesnt really make sense to me how do they grow when there is limited sunlight here?? Maybe they dont need alot of sunlight to grow. Hmm...)
Shrub layer would be where the tree saplings and woody plants grow. Eg yknow the Liyanas! The twirly wirly liyanas~
Undergrowth would be where the fungi and ferns and moss grow! This will result in sparse vegetation and dark moist environment. This is also where all the dead leaves fall to forming a leaf litter that supports plant growth.

OK THATS ALLL~~~~
